I think for most consumers, once they realize their friends are "following" them around everywhere, they will get creeped out. I noticed one of your other commenters stated it might be viewed as Beacon-esque and that IS a real danger. For ecommerce sites it's awesome, but is there really that much value to the consumer knowing that your friend purchased or reviewed product in exchange for losing so much privacy? IMO, No.
